Habitat for Humanity Northern Utah has been helping families achieve homeownership for 42 years. The organization's mission is to put God's love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Their vision is to create a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Safe, decent, and affordable homeownership is crucial in helping families create a new cycle of possibility and progress. With assistance from Habitat, homeowners are empowered to overcome obstacles that often stand between them and better lives. The organization recently asked Habitat homeowners what owning a home means to them. Here's what two homeowners shared:
"Without a place to call our own, our growth as a family felt stifled. It has been hard to plan and prepare for a future when everything felt so temporary. Our home will become our base, a place where we can be ourselves, build our confidence and identity as a family so we can face what life has to offer together."

"When I was approved for a Habitat house, it was an answer to my prayer! I was able to continue my education and went on to earn a master's degree in mathematics.
